The Joys and Challenges of Fatherhood
by William Landay (Fiction)
Andy Barber has been an assistant district attorney for two decades. He is respected and admired in the courtroom. Happy at home with the loves of his life: his wife, Laurie, and their teenage son, Jacob. Then Andy’s quiet suburb is stunned by a shocking crime: a young boy stabbed to death in a leafy park. And an even greater shock: The accused is Andy’s own son—shy, awkward, mysterious Jacob. Andy believes in Jacob’s innocence. Any parent would. But the pressure mounts. This is a murder trial that threatens to obliterate Andy’s family.
All are invited!

Job Seekers Support Group
Wednesdays, 10:00am - Noon, Room 202
Job teams have statistically helped people land their next jobs faster than those who search on their own. It is critical that members commit to come weekly as it is the cohesiveness of the group that makes it effective. Meetings consist of sharing successes, job tips that have been helpful in the Charlotte market and barriers that are impeding the job search.
