The TK (transitional kindergarten) classroom offers an opportunity to allow for more complex verbal and written language development such as creative writing. The future management and identifying of any motor, speech, and cognitive delays is ongoing.
TK classrooms have:
Tenured and degreed educators;
Age appropriate activities;
Manipulatives and toys;
Learning equipment and manipulatives are rotated daily;
All centers; home living, art, block, writing, reading, activity tables, science and story time corner: housed in each classroom.
A large age appropriate outdoor playground area
Bi-annual teacher assessments. Conferences are held in late winter followed by a kindergarten assessment report in spring.
