We are praying for our friends in Western North Carolina! We all want to also help in a tangible way, and right now we believe the best way to help is to donate money to our sister church, Black Mountain Presbyterian, which is heavily engaged in response efforts, including feeding hundreds of people per day. By making a monetary donation to SMPC through this link (also linked in button below and on Realm), all funds will go directly to Black Mountain Presbyterian. Alternatively, you can go to the Black Mountain Presbyterian's website and donate there. BMPC's Facebook page also has real-time updates on the situation. The need is ongoing and will most likely last for months, and we will continue to update you with more opportunities to respond.

The American Red Cross also tells us that the need for blood is imperative. You can sign up to donate at a blood drive near you at redcrossblood.org. (SMPC's next blood drive is Saturday, November 2, 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in The Commons.)
