SMPC invites our community into a depth of knowledge about God and relationship with God through study, prayer, worship, and meaningful connection with peers across generations. One of the ways we do this is through adult studies and groups.

The ongoing groups listed below are always open to new members, and we often have short-term studies as well. Our Director of Spiritual Formation would be delighted to have a conversation to help you discover what group might fit you best!

SUNDAY MORNING CLASSES

Jesus, Others, and You (JOY) Class
SUNDAY - 8:45AM

The JOY Class meet at 8:45 on Sunday mornings to engage with various short-term studies. This class is open to all and always enjoys new faces. A great time to join is when they start a new study. Check your bulletin and weekly email to see when that happens.

Invitation to the New Testament Class
SUNDAY - 9:00AM

Invitation to the New Testament examines how the New Testament writers and the early Christian community wrestled with the implications of the story of Jesus for their lives and their communities of faith. These are questions Christians still struggle with today. This study encourages participants to think about the role that faith plays in their life, how the Christian community is affected by modern culture, and how the church of the twenty-first century can be a welcoming, diverse, community.

WEEKDAY STUDIES

Pastor’s Bible Studies

Each week, Dr. Matt Brown, pastor, explores the scripture that will be preached on the upcoming Sunday.

Men’s and Women’s Groups

We have several groups for men and women that meet at various times throughout the week! Please contact Rebecca Guzman, [email protected], if you are interested in joining one of these groups.
