SMPC invites our community into a depth of knowledge about God and relationship with God through study, prayer, worship, and meaningful connection with peers across generations. One of the ways we do this is through adult studies and groups.
The ongoing groups listed below are always open to new members, and we often have short-term studies as well. Director of Spiritual Formation Rebecca Guzman would be delighted to have a conversation to help you discover what group might fit you best!
ADULT STUDIES
ADULT STUDY: WORDS OF LOVESUNDAYS BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 14 - 9:00-10:00 AM
Join us this fall as we explore Words of Love: A Healing Journey with the Ten Commandments by Eugenia Anne Gamble. This thought-provoking study reclaims the Ten Commandments not as a list of rules, but as a path toward healing, wholeness, and deeper love for God and neighbor. This study will meet for 10 weeks from September 14-November 16 at 9 am on Sundays in the McQueen Room or Zoom. This study is open to all and will be led by Melissa White and Rebecca Guzman. ADULT STUDY: 'THIRD THIRTY: MONTHLY ON SUNDAYS - 11:30 AM-12:30 PM
This is a 12-session study called, “The Third Thirty: A Candid Spiritual Exploration of Realities and Challenges We Face in the Years 60-90.” This study will meet one Sunday a month, over a light lunch, after worship. Many changes occur in our lives during the “Third Thirty” or from ages 60 to 90. These gatherings will create space for open discussion of some of the issues facing us as we navigate these decades of our lives. Contact: Melissa White
