Rebecca Guzman serves as our director of spiritual formation and is responsible for developing and implementing our faith formation programs for adults and children. Among Rebecca’s many gifts is her ability to make complex scriptural concepts understandable and relatable to all.

Her greatest joy is seeing someone—of any age!—have an “aha!” moment about Scripture, theology, or the call of discipleship and getting to observe her church family loving one another, God, and the world.

Rebecca received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of South Carolina at Columbia and a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Union Presbyterian Seminary. She is also a certified Christian educator in the PC(USA).

Originally from the South Carolina Lowcountry, Rebecca is an avid fan of the University of South Carolina Gamecocks and loves to read a good book in the sunshine. She has been married to her husband, Rafael, for 15 years. The couple has one ten-year-old daughter, Clara.
