Matt and Donna’s Retirement Celebration Weekend: The Big Wrap-Up!
November 25, 2025
Welcome Transitional Pastor Dr. Sandy Hull!
December 2, 2025SMPC Moms Find Fellowship, Connection AND Learn Something New
BAM! Our Rain or Shine and Making Space Mom’s Groups came together last week to learn mahjong! They had a blast and agree that the game is all that it’s “cracked” up to be (mahjong lovers will get that one!) They look forward to more games and more practice! We love these fellowship opportunities to laugh, learn and connect!
Congratulations, Donna and Matt!
We sent a big wrap-up email from Donna and Matt’s Retirement Celebrations straight to your inboxes Tuesday morning, and we’ve posted it all on our website here. Have fun going through all the videos, pictures and reports from a spectacular weekend!
SMPC Donates Five Car Loads of Supplies to Help Immigrant Neighbors in Need
We sent a call for donations last Thursday, and thanks to your generosity, we filled five SUVs with donations to UrbanPromise Charlotte to help our immigrant neighbors in need. SMPC volunteers delivered the donations on Monday.
Jimmy McQuicklin, UrbanPromise Charlotte Executive Director, said, “Your church showed up in such a big way with food donations. We thought we’d pack and deliver about 50 bags today, and it ended up being around 140! It means so much that your church would stand with our families in such a special way!”
We remember that Scripture, specifically Matthew 25:31-46, calls us to welcome the stranger, protect the vulnerable, and love our neighbors as ourselves. Thank you for your quick and generous support!
SMPC Elves Prepare for Advent
SMPC elves have been busy decorating the campus for the Christmas season! Members of Scout Troop 119 helped bring the “big” tree, and members of the “SMPC Pretty Committee” have made everything so beautiful! You might notice the Chrismon crowns adorning four of the Christmas trees. Those were made by Leanne Royster! They are beautiful! We are so thankful for all of our Christmon creators – they work hard all year on these works of art. Not a one goes unnoticed!
The first Sunday of Advent is this Sunday, November 30. We look forward to celebrating the Advent season with you!
