"Called to Community"

2026 Operating Fund Campaign

On Sunday, October 5, we kick off our 2026 Operating Fund Campaign, “Called to Community,” inspired by 1 John 4:7. The Operating Fund Campaign is SMPC’s primary fundraising campaign and supports all our ministries and programs--everything you love about our church is funded by the annual Operating Fund Campaign.

This year’s campaign reminds us that we are called to love one another – both the community we find inside our sanctuary on Sunday mornings and the larger community we find outside our doors. Beloved by God, we are open to possibilities and strengthened in community through worship, connection and service.

Worship: Each Sunday at SMPC, we gather as one community to lift our voices, hear God’s Word, and grow in faith. Our worship is full of joy and energy, with leadership from all ages and meaningful opportunities for children and youth to participate. We are an affirming, inclusive faith community that welcomes ALL. Together, we praise God and learn to live as disciples of Christ.

Connect: At SMPC, we believe faith is best lived out together. Through small groups, Bible studies, fellowship gatherings, and programming for every generation, we nurture relationships that reflect God’s love and build up the body of Christ. As followers of Christ, we aim to foster a deeper connection with our faith and each other.

Serve: Our calling extends to our community beyond our church walls. SMPC is ready to make a greater impact in our community, and we are engaged in a visioning process that will help us focus more time and more resources to our commitment to serve our neighbors. Our mission is to share Christ’s compassion, justice, and hope with the world.

We invite you to be part of and support this vibrant community — in worship, in study, in fellowship and in service. Together, we answer the call to community and embrace the possibilities God sets before us.
