All Ages Gather for ‘All Church Serves’

Wow! What a beautiful evening of SERVICE! On Sunday, November 17,  85 of us assembled meal kits for our neighbors in need at Smithfield Elementary during our All Church Serves! All ages participated, and with many hands, the work was light. We are delivering 46 meal kits to families. Thank you to everyone who donated food, helped organize the project and assembled kits!! To help our neighbors at Thanksgiving is such a blessing. Thank you!!

Sweet ‘Church Family’ Moment Captured

During worship on Sunday, November 17, one of our newly baptized babies, Emma, got a little wiggly, so her mom, Meghan, brought her to the parlor. Upon seeing Emma and her mom in the parlor, SMPC member and grandfather (x3!) Tim Morgan cradled her right to sleep.

Pastor Matt Brown said, “This photo captures how, when we enter these doors, we are a family. The relationships we build here radiate into the community.”

Meghan added, “It’s so wonderful to have a church family who can embrace us and help us in this sometimes challenging/exhausting chapter of our lives!”

Traffic Circle Project Keeps Rolling

Every day we see more and more progress on the traffic circle in front of the church! The City of Charlotte plans to open the circle before Thanksgiving – we will keep you posted!

Scout Troop 119 Celebrates Newest Eagle Scout

Congratulations to Scout Troop 119’s Jackson B. who received his Eagle Court of Honor on Friday, November 15. Family and friends gathered for the celebration, many from SMPC. We are so thankful to be a small part of Jackson’s journey!
