Name: Lilly McAnally
Family: Brent and Sheila McAnally
Years at SMPC: I was confirmed in 2021, but I’ve been coming to SMPC my whole life. Dr. Matt Brown baptized me when I was a baby!
How you found connection at SMPC?
I found my connection to SMPC through serving on committees such as the Children’s Vision and Planning Committee for five years and by being a Youth Elder for a year. I also felt a deeper connection to the church when I had the opportunity to mentor a youth who was going through confirmation. These activities within the church helped shape my faith and brought me closer to my SMPC family.
How has being involved at SMPC helped you grow your faith?
Being a part of these committees at SMPC helped grow my faith because I was able to connect with people within my church, which brought me a sense of community. This connection allowed me to see God working in my life through the people around me in my church family.
