January 2, 2025SMPC Provides Nearly 200 Gifts to Families in Need through Angel Tree
We were blessed to provide 190 gifts to 17 families through this year’s Angel Tree! Thank you to all who donated presents or contributed financially! We also send a HUGE thank you to both Sandeen families and the Colsons for their leadership and love for this ministry and to all of our volunteer “reindeers” (drivers) who transported the wrapped gifts!! We are so grateful for our faith community’s generosity!!

SMPC Staff Celebrates Nancy Metzler over the Holidays
The SMPC staff (just a couple missing!)and their families celebrated Director of Hospitality and Connection Nancy Metzler’s retirement at a dinner at the home of Mary Katheryne and Michael Zagora on Sunday evening, December 29. Before Pastor Matt Brown led the group in prayer, he expressed gratitude for the way in which Nancy’s innate hospitality towards others and warm spirit have been instrumental in creating the open and welcoming faith community we have today at SMPC. Thank you, Nancy, for nearly 20 years of service! Lucky for us, she and her husband, Charlie, aren’t going anywhere. Nancy joked she will still be welcoming new faces at church regardless of her retirement status! 🙂
