March 24, 2025Shelter Ministry Smashes its Own Record
Our Shelter Ministry shattered their “old” record (set just last month!) of 1,055 bottles filled with body wash by filling 1,089 bottles for Roof Above last Thursday! This ministry “pours” so much love into their work that we could barely slow them down to get this picture! 🙂 Thank you to everyone who comes out on the second Thursday of the month at 9:00 a.m. in Mecklenburg Hall – ALL are welcome. The next meeting is Thursday, April 10! Empty prescription bottles and body wash donations are always needed!
SMPC’s Verdict? Our Youth Are STARS!
SMPC showed up BIG for our high schoolers! On Friday night, March 14, members of the Chancel Choir, SMPC staff and other SMPC members attended Ardrey Kell High School’s production of “Legally Blonde,” where youth Charleston B., Ben B., Alexis B., Alexa C., Elizabeth G., Brett P., and Fiona R. shined onstage. They were all totally Elle-ite!! And, just by looking at the photos below, we see the beauty of SMPC: ALL generations coming together to support one another and our community. We are so blessed!

SMPC Mission Day: We {Heart} Montreat
On Saturday, March 15, our youth and families spent the day at Montreat Conference Center doing landscape work to help repair the property after the devastation left by Hurricane Helene. The work was HARD but JOYFUL. Thank you to all who showed up BIG to help one of our favorite places on earth – Montreat! See more photos in the collage below!

‘Namaste’ Right Here at SMPC
We were lucky to have SMPC member Katie Henriques lead our SMPC youth and children in a Yoga + Mindfulness night on the lawn behind Mecklenburg Hall this past Sunday. It was a beautiful evening filled with love, peace and God’s trusted whispers! Thank you to Katie for leading us and to all the youth and children who spent the evening with us.
