Scouts Turn Up the Heat
Scout Troops 119 and 219 sure do know how to cook some delicious BBQ and veggie chili! They sold over 1,500 lbs of BBQ and over 600 quarts of veggie chili. They were busy over the weekend cooking, prepping and packaging, and boy, are we lucky!! Customers picked up their orders Saturday and Sunday. Scouts also donated BBQ and veggie chili to first repsonders in the area. Thank you to our Scouts AND our community helpers!
If you missed out on the ordering window or have already gone through your first order and are still craving some Scout BBQ (veggie chili is sold out!), you can order here. Pick up will be at the church on Sunday, October 12, 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Additionally, thank you to our Scouts for making Scout Sunday such a success! We loved having them be a part of our Sunday worship and look forward to next year! As always, we are proud of the hard work these young people put into the program

SMPC High Schoolers Connect at the Lake
Our high schoolers spent the weekend at their Fall Lake Retreat at Lake Tillery. They had such meaningful moments for fellowship, fun, Bible study, worship, time on the lake and learning about how we are called by God to the waters — into life, love, faith, hope, justice, peace, belonging, trust, renewal, and service! ❤️
Thank you to all of the adult volunteers this weekend and all parents who helped contribute to this retreat! We couldn’t make retreats happen without y’all!
