Smithfield and Sterling Elementary Schools
We are collecting school supplies for the students of Smithfield and Sterling Elementary Schools. Bins will be located in the narthex beginning Sunday, August 2 for donated school supplies. Additionally, supplies can be ordered through Smithfield’s Amazon wish list. Please see a list of needs below.
On Sunday, August 23 at 9:00 a.m. in Mecklenburg Hall, we will have an All Church Serves where children, youth and adults come together to sort and pack school supplies for both schools. Our goal is 100 backpacks - 50 for Smithfield Elementary and 50 for Sterling Elementary. Everyone is welcome! Light breakfast refreshments will be served. Stuffed backpacks will be blessed at our annual Blessing of the Backpacks in worship that morning. Please register on Realm.

School Supply Needs:
Student wishes
- 1 subject spiral notebook (2 of these in each backpack)
- 2-pocket plastic folders (2 of these in each backpack)
- Composition Notebooks (1 of these in each backpack)
- Pencils (1 pack or ziploc bag of pencils for each backpack.)
- Glue sticks (1 pack or ziploc bag of glue sticks for each backpack)
- Coloring Markers (1 pack of markers in each backpack)
- Colored Pencils (1 pack of colored pencils in each backpack)
- Crayons (1 pack of crayons in each backpack)
- Highlighters (1 pack of highlighters in each backpack. Does not matter about the size)
- Index Cards (1 pack of index cards in each backpack. Does not matter about the size or quantity of them in a pack)
- Rulers (1 ruler in each backpack)
- Scissors (1 pack or ziploc bag of scissors in each backpack)
- Erasers (1 pack of erasers in each backpack)

Flair pens – any color (these would be a treat for our teachers)
