SMPC Represented at APCE Conference with Leadership, Learning and Fellowship

SMPC Director of Spiritual Formation Rebecca Guzman and Parish Associate Rev. Melissa White were joined by SMPC member Joel Winchip at the annual conference of the Association of Presbyterian Christian Educators (APCE) in Pittsburgh, PA, last week. In addition to attending the week-long event, Rebecca is the organization’s Annual Event Mission Team’s co-chair of communications and publicity, and Melissa led a session on writing curriculum. Joel, is the Executive Director of the Presbyterian Church Camps and Conference Center Association (PCCCA), led two sessions on using play and games to teach (and preach!). They learned a TON, were able to enjoy lots of fellowship, and major bonus: they arrived safely back in Charlotte before the winter storm.

Helping Those in Need is Important Now More Than Ever 

We are so thankful for everyone who donated bagged lunches for Roof Above this weekend – especially our ministry leaders, Julie and Brett Durham, who braved freezing temperatures to collect them!
