Mahjong is Connecting ALL of Us!

When we say “all are welcome” at mahjong, we mean it! One of our youth joined us for mahjong on Thursday! All the players loved it!!

It Takes Two!

There were two great “twinning” moments around church this week! These cute sisters showed off their love for the Red, White and Blue on Sunday and got us all ready for the upcoming holiday. Then, Transitional Pastor Sandy Hull and Facilities Manager Steve Stevenson had us seeing double on Monday in the office!

Middle Schoolers Spend Week at Massanetta Middle School Conference

This year, 26 middle schoolers and seven adult leaders from South Mecklenburg Presbyterian Church attended the Massanetta Middle School conference. This year’s theme was “Peace by Piece,” an invitation to think deeply about what peace truly means and how God calls us not only to receive peace, but to actively participate in building it. What a blessing it was to witness God’s grace at work all week.

SMPC Loves New Faces

We were so happy to meet new members after worship on Sunday! We had a very informal gathering with lemonade, cookies and coffee. If you are a new member and weren't able to join us this past Sunday, please stop by Coffee Grounds before or after worship anytime and introduce yourself! During summer, we are often on the patio between the church and Chapel building, but we were "suffering" from 90% humidity on Sunday...need we say more??
