March 31, 2026SMPC Supports Augustine Literacy Project
SMPC members had a wonderful time celebrating Augustine Literacy Project–Charlotte this past Thursday!
New results from UNC Charlotte’s Mebane Early Literacy Center show that students receiving ALP tutoring were nearly twice as likely to meet benchmark by year’s end when compared to their matched peers, an impact worth celebrating!
SMPC is proud to support this meaningful work. Stay tuned for more opportunities to serve and be part of the difference this fall.

Hosanna in the Highest! Welcoming the King of Peace
Hosanna in the highest! Palm Sunday worship was so joyful as we waved our palms, lifted our hearts and voices and welcomed Christ the King! As we journey through Holy Week, we invite you to slow down, listen and wait…

Self-Guided Holy Week Prayer Stations Help Deepen Spiritual Journey
Holy Week at church is always a busy but meaningful time! We have been blessed this year with self-guided Holy Week Prayer Stations, designed by Rev. Lindsey Odom and Director of Spiritual Formation Rebecca Guzman. These stations are an excellent way to pause and reflect this week. If you haven’t had a chance to stop by, we encourage you to come! The prayer stations are open until Thursday, April 2, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The prayer stations are located in the sanctuary, but please enter through the church office. (Our bonus for staff: we get to see so many faces during the week! We love visitors!)
Staff Treated to Lunch During Holy Week – Thank You!
The staff was treated to lunch on Tuesday, provided anonymously on behalf of the entire church. What a treat to relax together and enjoy a delicious meal during this busy week. We are so grateful to our SMPC church family and our fellow staff members! Thank you for thinking of us!
