October 20, 2026SMPC Youth Bring the Hole(y)-In-One-Fun
Our middle and high schoolers loved their mini golf outing on Sunday. They enjoyed some sweet treats after, as well! If you have a middle or high schooler or know someone who does, we would LOVE to have them check out SMPC Youth. This group is fun, welcoming, and open to all. Contact Rev. Lindsey Odom to get connected!

Four Paws Up for Our Fourth Annual Blessing of the Animals
Thank you to all of our furry friends for joining us for our fourth annual Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, October 18!
In case you missed it, our Scripture reading during the service came from Genesis 2:7-8, 18-20:
“Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being. And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east; and there he put the man whom he had formed. Then the Lord God said, ‘It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.’ So out of the ground the Lord God formed every animal of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. The man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the air, and to every animal of the field.”
We hope our beloved creatures from God know that they are deeply loved!
Thank you to Terry Gaines for these (p)awesome photos!

SMPC's new book club, Pages and Fellowship, kicked off this month with two meetings. Both groups read the same book (Theo of Golden) and had great discussions. The Tuesday afternoon group met this week and had a great discussion! Next month's read is The Correspondent by Virginia Evans and will meet Thursday, November 12, at 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday, November 17, at 1:30 p.m. - both in Room 302!
