The Good Samaritan
- Watch a Story: Who Is My Neighbor?: Jesus told a parable about a man who was hurt on the road and the surprising person who stopped to help him. The story reminds us that neighbors are not just the people who live next door but anyone who shows love and care. Watch a read aloud of Who Is My Neighbor? by Amy Jill Levine and Sandy Eisenberg Sasso here. In the book, the Blues and the Yellows do not mix until one day kindness changes everything
- Act It Out: Act out the story of the Good Samaritan together. Take turns being the person who was hurt, the people who walked by, and the neighbor who stopped to help. Talk about how it felt to play each part. What would you do if you saw someone who needed help?
- Make a Friendship Bracelet: Use string or yarn to make a bracelet. As you add each knot or color, think about ways you can be a good neighbor at home, at school, or in your community. Wear the bracelet to remind you to be a kind and caring friend to others.

- I wonder why Jesus told this story when someone asked, “Who is my neighbor?”
- I wonder what made the Samaritan stop and help.
- I wonder what it feels like to be cared for.
- I wonder how we can show love like that today.
