- Our scripture from Hebrews today reminds us that Jesus is eternal. That means that he is always there, always with us, forever and ever. What is your very first memory? How far can you imagine into the future? Draw a timeline of when the world began, when you were born, and other important events, and then think about how God was there even before that. Think about the timeline going on and on without end. That’s God’s timeline.
- Part of “living into hope” is being a part of and serving with our church family. Here is a coloring page that says, “I Love My Church.” What do you love about your church? Remember—a church is not just a building, it’s the people who make up the church community.
- Listen to a readaloud of Erandi’s Braids by by Antonio Hernández Madrigal. Erandi makes a sacrifice for her family. In the same way, Jesus has made many sacrifices for us, and we are sometimes asked to make sacrifices for others. When have you had to make a sacrifice?
- Journal, considering the following:
- What does the word “eternal” mean to you? How does it feel to know that Jesus is with you eternally?
- What have you had to make a sacrifice? When has someone made a sacrifice for you?
- What are ways that you can choose to live into hope?
