Housing Solutions

In addition to the service opportunities below, we also partner with Roof Above and Salvation Army’s Center of Hope to help feed our homeless neighbors. See more here.

Bag Lunches for Roof Above

Each month, we collect and donate 100 bagged lunches to Roof Above, an organization working to end homelessness in our city. This is a great activity to do with children or to gather with friends on a Friday night and make bags together before the Saturday drop-off. Sign up to donate. Contact: Julie Durham

Room in the Inn

Room in the Inn provides a safe, warm spot for our unhoused neighbors to sleep and receive three warm meals during the winter months. Volunteers will help with dinner, overnight stays or breakfast and cleanup at Sardis Presbyterian Church on Sunday, February 15 and Sunday, March 1. Sign up to serve or donate. Contact: Amy Matthews

Shelter Ministry

The Shelter Ministry meets in Mecklenburg Hall on the second Thursday of every month at 9:30 a.m. to fill empty medicine bottles with body wash for Roof Above. Contact: Carol Morgan
