February 5, 2025NFL Fans Come Together over Lemonade and Cookies
The positive effects of lemonade and cookies were apparent last Sunday! There was a little pre-game fellowship between die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fans (left) and Washington Commander fans last Sunday after worship. Hindsight is 20/20, but it’s fun to see the happiness in both teams “before” :-)! Congratulations to the Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs – we look forward to a big Super Bowl Sunday on February 9 (after our even bigger Souper Bowl of Caring Nourish Up Food Drive and Youth Sunday that morning, of course!!).

New Deacon Ordained During Session
We were honored to ordain a new deacon, Josh Schardt, on Sunday, January 26 during Session! Josh was unable to make the ordination a couple of Sundays ago, and we were so happy to have him, his wife, Erin, and their son, Will, at Session for ordination. Congratulations and thank you to Josh and our new elder and deacon classes!
We also welcomed new members Will Bates (pictured below, front row, left) and Lee Jones and Patricia (Pat) Leland-Jones (not pictured). We extend a warm welcome to them!

We’re Always Thankful for Sunny Skies
With all of the cold weather we’ve had in the area over the last few weeks, it sure was nice to shed the coats and enjoy a little sunshine this week! Fingers crossed the groundhog cooperates this Sunday and spring is right around the corner!
