The Ullmans loaded 100 bagged lunches into the car for Roof Above that SMPC members assembled and dropped off during a downpour on Saturday morning, March 9.

SMPC Exceeds Goal at Red Cross Blood Drive
Thank you to everyone who donated blood and/or volunteered at the Red Cross blood drive on Saturday, March 9! We collected 36 total units and exceeded our 30-unit goal! We welcomed six first-time donors and had seven SMPC volunteers. We even had a few walk-ins from Pack 119 parents who were there for the Pinewood Derby in Meck Hall (see below). Thank you, thank you to everyone who made the blood drive such a success.
As SMPC member and Blood Drive volunteer Terry Gaines put it, “We saved lives on Saturday!”

Vroom! Vroom! BSA Cub Pack 119 Hosts Pinewood Derby in Mecklenburg Hall
Cub Pack 119 “wheeled” into Mecklenburg Hall on Saturday, March 9 for Pinewood Derby. Looks like fun!!

Men’s Evening Study Group Volunteers at Crisis Assistance Ministry
The Men’s Evening Study Group met for service on Saturday, March 9 at Crisis Assistance Ministry. What joy it is to see this fellowship/study group not only enrich the lives of our church family but also serve our community!

Sunny Skies Make Up for a Missed Hour of Sleep
We might have missed an hour of sleep on Sunday morning due to daylight saving time, but the sunny skies made up for it. First Lemonade on the Lawn of the season thanks to God’s gorgeous rays.

SMPC Youth Make 1,030 Sandwiches for Roof Above
Our amazing middle and high schoolers and parent volunteers made 1,030 sandwiches for our neighbors at Roof Above on Sunday, March 10 during Operation Sandwich. Thank you to everyone who came out and/or donated sandwich materials.
This Sunday, there is another opportunity to gather as a faith community to serve. ALL ages are invited to the Intergenerational Mission and Family Trivia night on Sunday, March 17, 5:00-6:30 p.m. in Mecklenburg Hall. BSA Scouts Pack 119 Learns About Crime Scene Investigations
On Tuesday, March 12, BSA Scouts Pack 119 welcomed the a CMPD crime scene investigator to their meeting. The Scouts learned how to match ink samples and dust for fingerprints. Maybe there are some future CMPD heroes in the pack!
