March 31, 2025SMPC Opens Doors to Muslim Neighbors, Enjoys Iftar Feast Together
On Thursday, March 20, SMPC welcomed our Muslim neighbors from Mosaic of Charlotte, a local Turkish Islamic community, for an interfaith family Iftar dinner. Iftar is the meal that breaks the Muslims’ daily fast during the celebration of Ramadan. The Mosaic of Charlotte provided traditional and DELICIOUS food for our dinner. It was such a beautiful evening celebrating diversity and praying for unity. Thank you to Mosaic of Charlotte for their generosity and welcoming spirit and thank you to our SMPC member and friends for your hospitality and love!

SMPC Preschoolers Have Hops
Our SMPC Preschoolers, teachers and parent volunteers took full advantage of a beautiful March day on Wednesday to “hop” their way through the morning during the preschool’s annual Hop-a-thon! Children were given one minute to hop inside a hula hoop as many times a possible. Sponsors donated per hop or with a set amount. Funds raised are going to the school’s summer building refresh and repairs as well as 10% going to support students in Haiti. (PS: There’s still time to donate here (Choose “Other” and add “Hop-A-Thon” in memo))! The preschoolers also had a blast playing outdoor games and crafting with the help of our wonderful teachers and volunteers! Such a fun morning!
