September 18, 2024High Schoolers Kick Off Fall with Lake Retreat
Our High School Fall Lake Retreat was AMAZING! Thank you to our youth who attended, our wonderful chaperones and Associate Pastor of Youth and Missions/Outreach Lindsey Odom! The lake house AND weather were beautiful!
The theme of this retreat was the Potter and the Clay from Isaiah 64:8-9 and Jeremiah 18:1-11, which reminded us that God is the divine potter and we are the clay. See more photos here!
The next youth event is this Sunday! Big Youth Group (BYG) starts back up from 5:00-6:30 p.m. in Mecklenburg Hall. All middle and high schoolers are invited to attend! Please register on Realm.

Middle Schoolers Enjoy Small Group Dinners
While our high schoolers were away, our middle schoolers had their small group dinners filled with food, fellowship, & fun! ❤️❤️
Thank you to our wonderful hosts, the Buford family, for hosting 6th and 7th grades and the Guy family for hosting 8th grade!! We appreciate you opening up your home to our youth for dinner, a devotion and fellowship!

SMPC Enjoys a Beautiful Sunday of Worship and Fellowship
Sometimes you just need to take a moment to reflect on the beauty of a “normal” Sunday around SMPC. These photos, captured by SMPC youth member Adeline B., reflect the joy, fellowship and love that make up each and every Sunday. If you haven’t had time to stick around after worship in the last few weeks to enjoy cookies, lemonade and fellowship, we encourage you to join us this fall! We are soaking up the remaining weeks outside before cold weather moves us into the narthex for the fellowship and treats after worship.

Swinging Into Fellowship: A Day of Golf, Fun, and Community!
Our church members had a tee-rific time at this year’s annual SMPC Golf Tournament! The tournament, originally scheduled for June, was postponed due to rain. The group was SUPER lucky that the latest tropical storm took a little break for the afternoon. Mulligan money, which totaled $300, benefited our Missions/Outreach Committee. We can’t wait to hit the green again next year! More photos here.
Now, for the winners! Drum roll, please…
1st – Davis Dunn, Michael Najaka, Chase Garvey, Tom Schellin
2nd – Tom Finke, Brett Thompson, Curt Ireland, David Weeks
3rd – Tom Klecker, White Stroker, Danny Noonan, Rob Tunny
Well done, everyone!
