SMPC Middle Schoolers Share Weekend of Fellowship and Fun

Our SMPC Middle School Fall Retreat was amazing!

The group’s theme word over the weekend was RECOGNIZE, grounded in the Parable of the Prodigal Son and the invitation to recognize God’s love, mercy, and grace, recognize who we are as God’s beloved children, and recognize where our calling is found.

The group participated in team-building challenges, soccer, archery, canoeing, 9 Square, relaxing in hammocks, eating lots of good food (Zaxby’s + Chick-fil-A! 🙌), and enjoying plenty of fellowship and fun together. They also went to Sky Zone and spent time on the SMPC campus.

“One of the best parts was simply watching this group naturally bond by laughing together, encouraging one another, trying new things, and growing closer throughout the day,” said Rev. Lindsey Odom, Associate Pastor of Youth and Missions/Outreach.

We are so grateful for our amazing adult leaders who jumped right in alongside our youth and helped make it all possible!

Thank you to Lindsey for the great photos in this video!
