When two of our SMPC children got together for a playdate last week, they took time to make sandwiches for Roof Above. We are so proud of them! SMPC provides 100 bagged lunches for Roof Above every month. The next date to drop off bagged lunches is Saturday, November 18. Sign up here.
Lemonade Tastes Sweeter Under a Carolina Blue Sky
We enjoyed lemonade and cookies under a picture-perfect Carolina blue sky this past Sunday! We delight in these sunny mornings as we all know the cold temperatures will be here before we know it. No worries, though. Lemonade and cookies will still be available inside. Until then, we will be super grateful for mornings like this!
SMPC Surpasses Fundraising Goal for CROP Walk for Hunger
Thank you to everyone who donated or walked with us on Sunday, October 22, in the SMPC CROP Walk for Hunger 2023! We had 58 walkers (of all ages!) plus furry friends and were blessed with a beautiful fall afternoon. Our CMPD officer, Joseph Moye, also brought his family to walk with us. What a blessing! And to top it off, we surpassed our fundraising goal thanks to YOU! If you missed the walk and would like to donate, there is still time. Thank you to SMPC CROP Walk organizer Bob Cushman for all of his hard work on this important Missions/Outreach project!
BSA Troop 119 and 219 Award New Eagle Scouts
BSA Troop 119 and 219 awarded new Eagle Scouts last week! Bryant V. and Will Z received the Eagle Scout from Troop 119 and Brooke D. was the first Eagle Scout recipient from Troop 219. Congratulations to these three teenagers on this HUGE accomplishment!
