One of our SMPC members, Tom Schellin, is a very gifted photographer and often shares his talents with us!! Tom was onsite for SMPC Preschool’s Hop-a-thon on March 26 and shared some beautiful photos! Here are a few of our favorites – we see the joy and excitement in our preschoolers in every picture!!. Spring Campus Cleanup Kicks Off with Community Spirit
Our campus is looking fresh and full of life, thanks to the amazing volunteers who came out for the first day of our Spring Campus Cleanup on Saturday, April 6! From raking and trimming to clearing out flower beds and prepping garden spaces, this hardworking crew helped get our grounds ready for the season ahead.
This effort is just the beginning—Round Two is happening this Saturday, April 13, and we could really use your help! The focus this week will be spreading mulch across key areas of the property to give everything a polished, welcoming look just in time for spring events and gatherings.
A huge thank-you to everyone who gave their time and energy last weekend. Your care for this place makes a big difference, and we’re grateful. If you missed the first one, we’d love to have you join us this Saturday. Bring your gloves, your energy, and a heart for service (we recommend leaving the white shirts at home!)!

Big Turnout, Great Food, and Meaningful Conversations at Third Thirty Debut
Wow! What a beautiful crowd! Our new Adult Spiritual Formation class, Third Thirty, kicked off on Sunday, April 6, after worship with nearly 42 participants. Thank you to SMPC members Rhonda and Richard Nance, who facilitated and provided lunch for the session.
Third Thirty will take place monthly, with different facilitators and hosts each session. You do not have to facilitate or host to participate! This is an excellent opportunity to connect with peers and share in the ups and downs of life between the ages of 60 and 90.
The next session will be Sunday, May 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Commons. The cost is $10 to offset lunch. Come to as many sessions as your schedule allows! [More information and register here.]

Children and Youth Serve with Joy
Our children and youth collected items and assembled Easter meal kits for students and their families at Smithfield Elementary School on Sunday, April 6!
Not only did this group serve together—they also hunted for eggs, made cards for the students, played Easter games, and practiced their song for Easter worship (don’t miss them—they’ll be at the 11:00 a.m. service!). Whew! That was a packed 90 minutes!
Thank you to all of our young people for participating with their whole hearts and boundless energy, and thank you to our adult volunteers for your unwavering support!
