June 10, 2025SMPC Serves Breakfast at Center of Hope
Thanks to Donna Podgorny for sending these great photos of our SMPC members who served breakfast at Center of Hope on Saturday, May 17! We will be serving breakfast on the third Saturday of each month throughout the summer (and, of course, the rest of the year!). This might be the perfect opportunity for our high school graduates and college students home for the summer to serve our neighbors in need! (Center of Hope requires volunteers to be out of high school.) Yes, it’s an early morning, but YES you and your young adult will feel AMAZING afterward. There is nothing like doing GOOD first thing in the morning! Sign up here.
SMPC Celebrates the Class of 2025
What a beautiful day of faith, love and joy as we celebrated our high school and college graduates! We began the morning with a lovely breakfast for our high school graduates and their families. Thank you to everyone who brought delicious breakfast items, and a special shoutout to Angela Skeen and all of our volunteers for their vision, planning, and execution of this meaningful event!
During Graduate Sunday worship, we heard from our Youth Choir and Youth Ringers and listened to a message about how God is most at work, shaping us into who we are meant to be in these seasons of life transitions.
Congratulations, graduates! We will continue to pray for you and look forward to seeing your faces during school breaks! 😊

Catch a Glimpse of Faith Passing from One Generation to the Next
Thanks to Director of Spiritual Formation Rebecca Guzman for capturing this sweet moment where our children watched and learned as we celebrated our graduates on Sunday. It’s a beautiful glimpse of faith passed from one generation to the next!
Third Thirty Group Explores ‘Being Parents to Parents’
Our Third Thirty group met for its monthly session after worship on Sunday, June 1. The session, led by SMPC member Donna Podgorny, explored the topic of “Being Parents to Parents.” It was a time of thoughtful discussion and rich fellowship around the table.
This group is for men and women ages 60–90. The next session, “Retirement Home, Your Home, or Your Children’s Home,” will be held on Sunday, July 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in The Commons. A light lunch will be served!
More information and sign-up here.
Come to as many sessions as your schedule allows!
