Our next opportunity to bring dessert to Center of Hope is Sunday, July 13. Homemade or store-bought, your sweet treats will bring JOY and a taste of home to our neighbors in need! Sign up here.

An Unsurpassed Alleluia: A Hymn Fest of Hope and Faith
🎶 What a powerful and joy-filled day at SMPC!
On Sunday, June 8, we gathered at SMPC for “An Unsurpassed Alleluia” — a hymn fest directed by Director of Music and Organist Zach Bowyer, featuring SMPC’s Chancel Choir and Chancel Ringers. It was also part of the AGO Charlotte Summer Series!
Members and visitors came not to just sing or listen, but to offer hope through song. Our closing piece, commissioned in honor of the SMPC Music Ministry, reminds us: the work of music is not just in the sanctuary, but in how we live the song in the world!
Thank you to all who joined us — we hope you left feeling uplifted, hopeful and renewed in faith and light! If you missed the hymn fest, you can watch it in its entirety on our Sermons page.

City of Charlotte Hosts Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to Celebrate Opening of Bryant Farms Rd Extension
The Bryant Farms Rd Extension is officially open! The City of Charlotte extended Bryant Farms Rd .4 miles from Elm Ln to Rea Rd, and Wednesday, June 11, was the official ribbon cutting ceremony! The $27.3 million project included the new roundabout in front of the church that has made traffic flow and accessibility so much better for our church! The 12-ft-wide sidewalks that border both sides of the road along the new section are such a wonderful addition to our community! Charlotte Department of Transportation’s Debbie Smith and City Council – District 7’s Ed Driggs gave the opening remarks. Thank you to the City and their partners for making our community better!!
