Pastors! They’re Just Like Us!

Pastor Matt Brown was caught on Tuesday “getting geared up” to kill some wasps that had congregated (no pun intended) near his office. A big thanks to Facilities Administrator Steve Stevenson for keeping us well-stocked! All clear now!

SMPC Welcomes New Staff Member

New staff member Adrienne Jaquith started her first week in the office, and everyone is SO excited! In case you missed the news last week, Adrienne joined the church staff as office and database manager and receptionist, and Mary Katheryne Zagora, who was serving in two positions,  financial and office administrator, returned to her original role, financial administrator (read last week’s letter here). Adrienne even got a little snuggle with Pastor Matt’s new puppy, Molly Brown, while Molly was here for a photo shoot. 🙂

Conversations with Matt Brown is back in action after summer break and welcomes new faces! Every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., the group discusses the upcoming scripture for the week. Not only is this a learning opportunity for participants, it offers tons of connection. They meet in the McQueen Room or via Zoom. Contact Matt Brown for more information.

SMPC Preschoolers Back on Campus

We are so excited to have our SMPC preschoolers back on campus! School began on Tuesday. We pray that the teachers and students have a fun year full of learning and growing!

Troop 119 Welcomes its 93rd Eagle Scout

Scout Troop 119 welcomed its 93rd Eagle Scout last week! Jackson B. completed of his Eagle Board of Review, and we are all so proud of his hard work and dedication!
