September 25, 2024Scout Sunday Highlights Contributions of Troops 119 and 219
Scout Troops 119 and 219 participated in our worship service and fellowship events on Sunday, September 22 as part of Scout Sunday. We are so blessed to have such a vibrant and dedicated Scout group and are forever grateful for the many ways our Scouts and their leaders make our church a better place. After worship, Scouts donated BBQ and veggie chili to Charlotte Mecklenburg police offers and the Charlotte Fire Department!

Furry and Feathery Friends Spend a Paw-Fect Afternoon in Prayer and Fellowship
Our second annual Blessing of the Animals was such a HAPPY event! Lots of tails wagging and even some feathers flapping!! Thank you to all who came out for this special blessing and many thanks to our staff and liturgists!
In caes you missed it and would like to bless your furry friends at home, this was the prayer we used to bless our animals:
Beloved creature, you were created by God,
and you are loved by God.
May you and your human family
experience joy and companionship together,
and continue to be a blessing to each other. Amen
Middle and High Schoolers have BIG Fun at BYG
Nearly 50 middle and high schoolers came out Sunday, September 22 for the first BYG (Bible and Music) of the school year! The theme for this year’s BYGs will center around passages and topics from 1 Corinthians. The group played kickball and enjoyed S’mores by the fire. The group had a farewell celebration for Jeff Brockman, who has faithfully served this ministry as a BYG leader for eight years! Thank you for your service and amazingness, Jeff!!
