October 23, 2024Stateline Community Orchestra Gives Stellar Performance in Mecklenburg Hall
The Stateline Community Orchestra, a community orchestra of experienced musicians in South Charlotte, York County, and Lancaster County, gave an unbelievable performance in Mecklenburg Hall on Friday evening, October 11. “From Darkness to Discovery” featured music from Modest Mussorgsky’s “Night on Bald Mountain” (arr. Rimsky-Korsakov) and Atonin Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World.” We were so happy to host this group of talented musicians and hope they will come back soon!

While the Parents are Away, Our Children PLAY
Parents Morning Out this past Saturday, October 12, was a BLAST! Children ages 3 years old through 5h grade joined us for games, crafts, a Bible story movie, and a fun snack! The weather was PERFECT for our outdoor play time! A huge thank you to Director of Spiritual Formation Rebecca Guzman for organizing and leading this event and thank you to all the children who came to play and “big kids” who volunteered there time to help. Worship is a Family Affair
The Smigiel family was “all hands on deck” during worship on Sunday, with family members taking part as a children’s liturgist, acolyte and as part of the Welcome Team! We love how many opportunities there are for families to serve in our worship! If you have any questions about how you can get your family involved, please contact Nancy Metzler, and she’ll point you in the right direction!

Scouts are Tuned Up and Ready for their Next Merit Badge
Scout Troop 119 turned the rooms in the Chapel Building to a temporary bike shop Monday evening! The Scouts worked on their Cycling Merit Badge by learning how to fix and maintain their own bicycles. How cool is that?!
