Seen Around Church: Week of September 8, 2024
September 11, 2024Church Family Moment for Sunday, September 15, 2024
September 11, 2024On Sunday, September 22 at 3:15 p.m. we hope you’ll join us for our special Blessing of the Animals event! As we anticipate this special blessing, we are highlighting some of our church members’ special animals (think “Faces of Faith” for pets!). This week’s spotlight is on Jasmine Ireland, the purrrrr-fect pet for Gayle and Curt Ireland.
All furry and feathery pets are invited to the Blessing of the Animals, but we do ask for just a couple of things: 1. Please make sure that pets are on leashes, crates or cages and that they are happy in social situations. 2. Please, no reptiles! You are WELCOME to bring a photo of your animal to be blessed. If you have any questions, please contact Rev. Lindsey Odom.
Now, let’s put our paws together for the beautiful Jasmine Ireland!
Name: Jasmine Ireland
Age: 6 years old (but I’ll deny being a day over 5!)
Favorite Food: Churu squeezable pate – Chicken & Crab, please. Also known as “Happy Meal,” it is served daily at precisely 5:00 p.m. with much fanfare and enthusiastic descriptions of the flavor I’m about to enjoy (dinner and a show, how delightful!).
Place where I feel God’s presence the most: Lying in the sun on my ottoman, gazing out into the garden (looking for birds, lizards or squirrels) and meditating on the beauty of God’s creation (okay, mom calls it “napping”).
