SMPC Serves Breakfast to Center of Hope Guests
May 23, 2023Here’s a look at what happened over the last week or so at SMPC!
The Lunch Bunch met up for a delicious meal and fellowship at Firebirds at Stonecrest Shopping Center on Tuesday, May 9.
The Rain or Shine Moms Group had their end-of-season get-together at Link & Pin Thursday, May 11. The group enjoyed fellowship and celebrated reading two books this spring (The Colorful Image of God by SMPC member Katherine Martin and Everything Happens for a Reason and Other Lies I’ve Loved by Kate Bowler).
Congratulations to the Confirmation Class of 2023! May God continue to bless them on their spiritual journey as they grow in God’s love, and may they always feel God’s presence within every time, season and place. We are praying for you, confirmands!

Now that Mother’s Day has come and gone, we can share these cute pics from a couple of weeks ago when SMPC preschoolers posed for photos for Mother’s Day gifts. We just love seeing what goes on behind the scenes in the creation of these precious toddler gifts!
Speaking of SMPC preschool…during morning carpool on Tuesday, May 16, and Wednesday, May 17, the children surprised Carol Watkins, director, and Mary Lynn Rawls, financial administrator, with posters to celebrate the pair’s upcoming retirement. There were a few tears shed (by adults, not children!). See more photos here.
