The Rain or Shine Mom’s Group met last week to discuss the book, The Hundred Story Home by Kathy Izard and to color one of our Lenten posters that will be displayed during the upcoming Lenten season. Thank you to this incredible group of women!
Troops 119 and 219 Collect Food for Scouting for Food
On Saturday, February 3, our church parking lot was abuzz as Troop 119 and 219 members and volunteers collected food for the Scouting for Food initiative! THANK YOU to everyone who donated! SMPC Youth Serve Our Homeless Neighbors at Room in the Inn
On Sunday evening, February 4, youth, their parents and families served our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness at Room in the Inn held at Sardis Presbyterian Church. We were so inspired by the youth’s compassion and love for our neighbors and look forward to the next opportunity to serve.
SMPC Christmas Kettlebell Ringing Donations Totaled
The donation total from SMPC’s Christmas kettlebell ringing for the Salvation Army of Charlotte is in, and it is BIG. During our six four-hour shifts (24 hours of ringing), donations totaled $1152.03! Thank you to everyone who rang last year and THANK YOU to SMPC member Terry Gaines who coordinates our efforts every year!
