- We are continuing to talk about the questions that you asked! Here are the two we’re going to address today: “How do we know God is real?” and “How is it possible that God is always there?” Here’s a vocabulary word: omnipresence. The omnipresence of God is a theological concept that affirms that God is everywhere, all the time. How is this possible? And how do we know God is real? Both of these questions have a similar answer: faith. We cannot prove that God is real, and we can’t prove that God is everywhere all the time, but we can experience God.
- Our Year of Justice theme for April is Earth Day. Lots of Christians like to think about Earth Day as a reminder that God trusted us to care for all of creation. The Year of Justice gives some options including a book to read together, questions for conversation, and lots of idea for what to do together. There’s also a link to this website, which has great ideas for celebrating Earth Day every day.
- Make a sheep craft! You can come up with an easy one on your own using cotton balls and whatever you have around your house or you can print and cut out this one. Just glue the sheep to the bottom of the staff. Hang up your craft to remind you that Jesus knows and loves you as a Good Shepherd.
- Journal, considering the following:
- What does Jesus say is the difference between the hired hand and the Good Shepherd?
- What does it mean that Jesus knows his own and his own know him? What does that mean to you?
- Who are your shepherds? Who is your Shepherd?
